CNC machine power off when changing tool

The CNC lathe machine sometimes power off when the 4 station tool changer is changing the tool, and the tool changer sometimes has problem of not lock in position.

Try dry running and found that when the power off, the tool changer must be not lock in position as well, every time the same, but restart the power can work again.

Check below step:

1-      Is there any short circuit of the tool changer control circuits?

2-      The feedback circuit of the tool changer is shorted or not?

3-      The motor of the tool changer is shorted or not?

4-      Is the machine stop button in poor contact?

5-      The protection switch of electric cabinet in the back of the CNC lathe machine in poor contact or not?

In this case we found there was short circuit inside the tool changer, the machine will power off when pulling the tool changer cable, when the tool changer was changing the tool, the cable will be pulled, which caused the CNC machine power off.

Change the wiring of the tool changer, the machine back to normal.
