 Daily maintenance of vertical CNC machining center



1. Servo motor and spindle motor.

The servo motor and control system are key parts of power and precision control of machine tools. The main checks are noise and temperature rise. If the noise or temperature rise is too large, it is necessary to find out whether it is a mechanical problem such as bearings or a parameter setting problem of its matching amplifier, and take corresponding measures to solve it. If the servo axis makes abnormal sounds during operation, it may be due to mechanical noise caused by screws, couplings, and concentricity with the servo motor. The motor and coupling can be separated, and the motor can be run alone. If the motor still has noise, adjust the speed loop gain and positioning loop gain appropriately to make the motor silent. If there is no noise, it is judged that the lead screw and coupling are the same. By re-correcting the concentricity and connecting it to the motor, the alignment problem can be eliminated.

2. Measuring feedback elements.

The measuring feedback equipment includes encoders, grating scales, etc. It is necessary to check whether the connection of each component is loose and whether it is contaminated by oil or dust. Dust and small iron powder may damage these components.

3. Electrical control part.

Regularly check whether the external three-phase power supply voltage connected to the machine tool is normal; check whether the electrical components are well connected; use the CRT display diagnostic screen to check whether various switches are effective; check whether the relays and contactors are working properly and the contacts are intact; whether the protection components such as thermal relays and arc suppressors are effective; check whether the internal parts of the electrical cabinet of the vertical machining center are overheated. In the case of poor contact of the contactor, the contactor can be disassembled, the high-temperature oxide on the contact surface can be broken with a small file, and then the impurities can be wiped off with absorbent cotton and alcohol, and then the contactor can be reassembled, and the contacts can be tested with a multimeter.
