FANUC system 368 alarm
368 X Axis : SERIAL DATA ERROR (INT)
The reasons for 368 alarm and related encoder alarm are:
1. There is a problem with the encoder behind the motor. If the customer's processing environment is very poor, sometimes cutting fluid or hydraulic oil will penetrate into the encoder, causing the encoder to fail.
2. There is a problem with the encoder feedback cable. The plugs on both sides of the cable are not plugged in properly. As the machine tool moves, the tank chain will drive the feedback cable to move together, which will cause the feedback cable to be squeezed or worn and damaged, resulting in system alarms. Especially occasional encoder alarms are likely to be caused by feedback cable wear.
3. The control side circuit board of the servo amplifier is damaged.
Solution:
(1) Swap the encoder on this motor with the same model encoder on other motors. If the fault is transferred after the swap, it means that the encoder itself is damaged.
(2) Swap the servo amplifier with the same model amplifier. If the fault is transferred after the swap, it means that the amplifier is faulty.
(3) Replace the encoder feedback cable. Note that sometimes damage to the feedback cable will cause the encoder or amplifier to burn out, so it is best to first confirm whether the feedback cable is normal.
