How to repair tool-dropping fault on CNC?

Video on Youtube

Analysis of the causes and repair procedure for a single-sided tool-dropping fault during machining center tool changes.

Fault diagnosis: It was observed that the tool dropped from only one side during the change process; the safety ejector pin on the affected side protruded insufficiently, indicating a failure of the pin to extend. Disassembly revealed that the ejector pin spring had snapped into three pieces.

Disassembly of faulty components: Press the emergency stop button, extract the tool-ejecting gripper and the internal spring, and use a wrench to remove the bottom cover plate of the ejector pin assembly.

Cleaning relevant components: Inspect the mounting bore for oil residue and clean it thoroughly; also clean all components of the tool arm assembly.
Component protection: Apply grease to the component surfaces to provide both rust prevention and lubrication.

Assembly and testing: Reassemble all components in the correct order and perform a tool-change test; the machine no longer drops the tool, confirming the fault has been resolved.
