Function introduction
This function is a tapping that uses the inverter to connect to the spindle motor through the analog interface. It allows the functions listed in Table 1 to be used with the inverter equipment of other manufacturers to connect to the spindle through the analog interface. The biggest advantage of using this function is the increase The realization of tapping expands the range of options for spindle control and can be used in conjunction with many inverter manufacturers on the market.
One function use
To use this function, it is necessary to connect an inverter that supports the function of controlling the spindle position. In addition, "#1295 ext31/bit 6" should be set to 1 to enable the analog spindle synchronous tapping function.
The output voltage of the analog spindle is between -10V and 10V, which depends on the ratio of the spindle speed to the set value of #3001 to #3004. Figure 1 shows the connection diagram of the analog spindle synchronous tapping application on the E80 engraving and milling machine.
Two functional advantages
Without using a special tool post, tapping can also be performed through the inverter control axis, as shown in Figure 2.
Three system parameter settings
The setting of parameter #11718 can eliminate the time difference between the tapping axis and the spindle movement, so that both can start moving at the same time. The parameter details of #11718 are shown in Table 2.
(1) When "setting value = 0", the time is not adjusted.
(2) When "setting value> 0", the command start time of the tapping axis is delayed, and the delay time is the set value, as shown in Figure 3.
(3) When "setting value <0", the command start time of the analog spindle is delayed, and the delay time is the set value, as shown in Figure 4.
Other parameter settings of analog axis tapping are shown in Figure 5 and Figure 6.
Four inverter settings
The main functions and settings of the inverter are shown in Figure 7.
Five PLC parameter setting
The PLC mainly controls switching, tapping and positioning modes, and at the same time performs gear shifting (M code) in the tapping mode. The main signals of the PLC are shown in Figure 8.
Six case introduction
Figure 9 is a picture of simulated tapping performed by the customer using the CH2000 inverter. The cutting mode, tapping mode and positioning mode can be used at the same time. The switching actions have been debugged and the expected results have been achieved.
Seven applicable systems
The applicable system and system version of this function are shown in Figure 10.
to sum up
Rigid tapping is an indispensable basic function of CNC machine tools. Generally, serial spindles are used to realize the function. For CNC machine tools that use analog spindles, the realization of rigid tapping itself is a defect. Through continuous improvement, the synchronous tapping function of the analog spindle of the Mitsubishi Electric CNC system can be effectively used in conjunction with other manufacturers' inverters to reduce manufacturing costs and achieve the tapping effects expected by customers.
