Data contained in SRAM and the importance of backing up SRAM
Data stored in SRAM include: CNC parameters, pitch error compensation, tool compensation data (compensation), macro variable data (variable value), machining program, conversational programming (CAP) data (machining conditions, tool data), operation history data, servo waveform diagnosis data, PMC parameters, etc., which need to be maintained by batteries after the machine tool is powered off. Therefore, backing up SRAM data is very important for the recovery of catastrophic failures of machine tools. It is recommended that SRAM data be backed up for each machine tool.
Precautions for backing up SRAM
Each memory card can only store the SRAM data of one machine tool at a time. If you want to use the same memory card to back up the SRAM of another machine tool after backing up the SRAM of one machine tool, you need to copy the backed-up SRAM file to the computer, then delete the SRAM file in the memory card and then back up the SRAM of the other machine tool. Otherwise, if you directly back up the SRAM of another machine tool, the original SRAM will be overwritten. Note that the name of the backed-up SRAM file cannot be changed. |
