What is a tool setting instrument? In the machining process of the workpiece, workpiece loading and unloading, tool adjustment and other auxiliary time, accounting for a considerable proportion of the machining cycle, in which the adjustment of the tool is time-consuming and laborious, but also not easy to accurately, and finally need to test cut. Statistics show that the processing of a workpiece, pure motorized time is only about 55% of the total time, clamping and tool setting and other auxiliary time accounts for 45%. Therefore, the tool setting instrument shows great superiority.
Working principle of the tool setting machine
The core component of the tool setting probe consists of a high-precision switch (probe), a high-hardness, highly wear-resistant carbide tetrahedron (tool setting probe) and a signal transmission interface (other parts omitted). The tetrahedral probe is used to make contact with the tool and transmit the force to the high-precision switch through the flexible support bar mounted underneath it; the on and off signals emitted from the switch are transmitted to the CNC system through the signal transmission interface for tool direction recognition, operation, compensation, access, and so on.
Role of Tool Setting Instrument
1. Measuring and compensating tool deviation value in five directions of ±X, ±Z and Y-axis.
2. Automatic monitoring, alarming and compensation of tool wear or breakage in the machining process.
3. Compensation of the variation of tool deflection caused by thermal deformation of the machine tool. |
